The NSW South Coast is a beautiful,rolling seaboard of spectacular coastline and breathtaking scenery. Stretching over 600km, from The RoyalNational Park just south of Sydney all the way to the Sapphire Coastin the state’s south, there's plenty to explore and discover on the NSW SouthCoast. There are more than 30 national parks,and marine and nature reserves spread between the coast and the hinterland.Explore relaxed towns and villages nearby at your leisure, or discover tranquilpicnic spots and diverse native wildlife around the national parks.
The region includes Wollongongand surrounds, the Shellharbourarea, the Kiamaarea (including Gerringongand Gerroa),the Shoalhaventowns of Jervis Bay,Nowra,Mollymookand Ulladulla,the Eurobodalla towns of Batemans Bay,Moruyaand Mogo.The southernmost towns of Bega,Merimbula,Pambula,Edenand Tathra areon the Sapphire Coast.
Check out the Light to LightWalk in Ben BoydNational Park, which has spectacular headlands, beaches, andbountiful wildlife ranging from eastern grey kangaroos to echidnas towhite-bellied sea eagles. Take in stunning scenery and coastal views along the Kiama Coast Walk,or, just fifteen minutes’ drive from Kiama, past the pretty village of Jamberoo,you can immerse yourself in the serenity of MinnamurraRainforest in BudderooNational Park with its excellent walks and pretty waterfalls.
See sleek fur seals in thewild at Montague Island,just off the coast of Narooma. Camp by the beachside in Shoalhaven or gosurfing in Shellharbour. Explore Jervis BayNational Park, which is famous for its beautiful beaches, campingand picnic spots and colourful birdlife. Make sure you follow the White Sands Walkfrom Greenfield Beach to Hyams Beach,a highlight of any visit to Jervis Bay.
